On Sunday, October 11, I will be preaching at the One Tree Crossing Church in north-central Indiana, the church of my nephew-in-law, Pastor Brian Richie. The material is Chapter 5 of the book “Seventh-day Adventist Christian: Do You Know Who You Are?” The sermon is titled “The R-G-B Relationship”.
While Pastor Brian’s church is not a Seventh-day Adventist Church, the message from Chapter 5 and from most of the chapters of the book is very appropriate for his church. The basic question of the book and the answers outlined very much apply to all Christians who are sincerely seeking a deeper and more intimate relationship with God. And Chapter 5 especially explains the basic nucleus of the Christian life — from which springs the rest of the motives, thoughts, and actions in the life of the born-again believer.
