“The true condition of the people of the Church of Laodicea is that they don’t know who they are, or to whom they belong, or what they are to do.”

Chapter 10, Page 101 –

The forward progress under the Sixth Church of Philadelphia comes to a grinding halt. Why? Laodicea’s hallmark is apathy. The people of the Church of Laodicea are totally consumed with themselves (see Revelation 3:17). The true condition of the people of the Church of Laodicea is that they don’t know who they are, or to whom they belong, or what they are to do. This is the Interlude between the Sixth and Seventh Churches – the apathetic condition of Laodicea.

There is a pause in the forward progress of the People of God as Laodicea tries to figure out who she is. Like the people of Israel in the time of Elijah, like the people who stood there that day on Mt. Carmel, not saying anything in response to Elijah’s question – these people and this church of Laodicea don’t know to whom they belong. They don’t know their true condition. They don’t know what they are to do.

They don’t know who they are.

And I concluded that until Laodicea understands who she is and what she is to do, the whole system, the whole forward progress of the People of God is at a standstill. We are stuck between the falling of the stars and the split in the sky. We are awaiting the sealing of the Holy Spirit. We are at the end of the Sixth Church, the Sixth Seal, the Sixth Trumpet, but the system – as outlined in the rest of the book of Revelation – is at a standstill.
